alpine amp cut out

alpine amp cut out

im having cut out problems with my alpine 450 mono amp....its running 2 pionner subs total load at 2 ohms, i have the gain set at just below 3/4 is this to high??? it cuts out even before the amp is warm what could cause this

what is the model of ure subs, the wiring u using(8,4,0 ga)?Check how well you are grounded aswell.

speakers are rated 4 ohms for Impecence, not resistance. That means they may be well under 4 ohms at some frequencies.

Try to narrow down the frequency range going to the subs.
LPF @ 70-80 Hz, subsonic @ 30 Hz.
