amp input pop

hey all ok my moms car..
01 PT cruzer stock deck aftermarket amp for a 10 sub...

the amp does not have high level in..

i cut a pair of RCAs the rcas plug in to the amp and the other cut ends are connect to the rear speakers. the REM wire is on a switched at the IGN.

now when ever you push in the volume **** on the deck to turn the radio off i guess when the interal amp in the deck shuts off the sub pops twice (boom boom) same thing when u turn the deck back on... as well as start the car or turn the car off.. the gain on the amp is 1/4 bass boost off freq is 130hz ish

i have tryed a nother amp and the same thing happens.. it is not a control voltage (remote) problem cus i can make it happen while the car is running by turning the deck on and off.. the remote wire is on the wires coming from the key at the steering wheel.. so i am sure it is some thing to do with the stock decks outputs for the rear speakers... also i have tryed a LOC .. and still the same thing... now a JL clean what ever is not a thing that i want to get in to .. my mom just wanted a little low end not to empty her purse.. is there some thing that i can wire up with relays????? also she does not want to change the deck....((( for now i am trying to turn her in to a alma gates)

The short answer is no.

If you don't want to spend the money to do it right, the guess what? It's not gonna be done right...

Do all of these amps have a soft turn on feature? My old learjet amp popped every time it was turned on or off, and it was properly installed. I assume with MECP training you would know that a LOC is a good idea.

actually a loc is not needed... how many volts AC does the avg stock deck put out????? and how many volts AC can the low level (rca) inputs take.. you do the math and u will see a loc is not needed.. the 2 shops that i have work for are very well know and most of the ppl that work with me have been in the industy for over 20 years.. also techs that repair and design amps and decks and what ever will agree that as long as the voltage out of the deck does not exceed the max rca inputs on the amp you are NOT required to use a loc..
also a non powered loc is just a step down transformer it drops the AC voltage from the decks out puts to a use able level for the Rca inputs on the amp..

Ok, think of it this way.........RCA's are a "low level input", then there are "high level inputs" that attatch onto speaker wires.........you have soldered low level input plugs onto speaker wires.....proper? no.........Go out, spend some money on an LOC and support our industry. As for the popping, try putting a polarised cap on the remote turn on, it may lessen the impact
