Amps with remote bass

can anyone point me in the right direction of what models of amps have a remote bass control box that i can place up near the drivers seat as im not the only one using my car so the others probably dont want to hear my subs. what im lookin for is an amp that has the bass control with like a **** or whatever to turn it up, down or off. i need the amp to run my 400w RMS pioneer 12" (1000w peak)

Future Shop or Visions might have a good deal on a 325 watt RMS ( makes close to 400 RMS) mono amp with a remote bass ****. It would be a 2006 model but it would work for you. I do believe the amp is manufactured in the USA.

True, Future shop sells the MTX TC 4002 runs 400 watts RMS in 4 ohms, maxes at 1200watts. Its a great amp.

There is a difference between remote bass ***** and remote gain *****. What you're after is a remote gain ****.
A remote gain is the ability to turn down the gain from where the gain pot located on the amp is set at. This will allow you to "turn down" the subs output quickly.
A remote bass **** is just the ability to boost a certain bass frequency (often 45Hz) which is a poor idea IMO.

I'm not too sure how accurate this is, but a friend of mine that has been doing the sound thing for a long time, told me the remote control gain/bass, actually hurts the amp, by some how changing the voltage of the amp. Like I said not too sure how acurate it is.
