HU problem

okay so i bought a new truck and took out my old stereo which was working great and installed it into the new truck.... never been the same.

im running a 4 channel amp Alpine. and a kenwood kdc- x794.

im running monster cables RCA to the 4 channel amp. but when i put in the sub only had cheap dollar store rca for it at the time.... had major engine wine, which was okay i understood the problem, (had to wait a week till i could get to the store). but what i thought was weird is on the HU i would flip between subwoofer off and on. and it made no difference. same with the sub line output volume -15 to +15. so today i replaced my rca with good monster audio, buzz is gone. and i can switch the sub on and off again... but its not very loud at all.... and the higher i turn up the sub line output to get bass, the speakers get brasseir aswell and start to clip due to much bass.

its almost like the rca connectors have cross talk between em.... also when i unplug the sub rca from the HU, the 4 channels get louder a bit.. plug back in they go down a bit...

also i know they are plugged into the right spots cuz i go thru the fader and balance and all speakers are where they should be.
