lol you have much to learn.

it will probably blow your mind to find out that as soon as there is a signal going to the speaker the impedance is no longer 1 ohm!!! lol, it actually goes up and down.

factory raiting of an amplifier is more of a guide line, mainly due to alot of changing variables when the amp is in use.

Yuli - I've seen a video for testing the wattage with a volte meter and another tool but i cant seem to find it.

Jalat - I had it wired to 1 OHM

if i had to guess, you are probably rising up to 1.5 ohms so final load will be around 2.5 ohms... you are by no means getting anything more than 3krms out of that amp.

wow i guess i do have a lot of learning to do........ lol this i did not know.

A friend of mine has been doing this for quite a while now and was doing it out west for a while and he has been teaching me everything i know, but obviously i have LONG way to go.

so first i should look at testing my amp to see what kind of power i am getting at it's lowest voltage point and then if I'm not getting full power, i should look at a better battery and more wiring to bring it up?

if you have a factory battery now you should probably replace that right off the batt.

i would not get kinetik, get something good like NSB or Odyssey

where is the amp grounded to? if it's grounded to the frame that's a big issue. gotta ground it straight to the battery.

also doing the Big 3 will help sustain voltage when the vehicle is ON.

For the battery right now i have an Optima blue top (my stock one was dieing and this is what my friend suggested that was in my price range at the time)
I have priced up an odyssey 1750 for a really good price that i can get right in my area.

The amp is not actually in my car right now but when it was, yes it was grounded to the frame, but that's something i will change when i put it back in and start testing, for this year.

Big 3 is already done all in 0 gauge wire.

you gotta ground to the battery with a big amp like that

like jalat said you need like 4+ and 4- runs at the very least, all going to the battery.

ok well I'll start there, looks like i got some shopping to do lol

also what tools do i need to test the actual wattage the amp is producing? i know one is a volt meter, but i cant remember the name of the other one.
