Pioneer AVH W4400NEX

I just got my car back from the audio shop. I had the Pioneer AVH W4400NEX with back up camera installed into my 2008 Corvette, there's going to be a large learning curve from the old Non NAV head unit that it replaced, most of it looks pretty straight forward once I get some time to play with it. One thing I did notice was the volume of the incoming calls as well as the Siri voice when reading texts and overall voice commands when she asks what it is you're asking her to do. I found I needed to turn up the volume to hear the phone call and text message...of note the car is loud to say the least. Once the phone call was ended and the audio kicked back in I needed to turn the volume down one the radio. There are volume adjustments for google map / Waze directions as well as Apple car play, the map directions does not affect the audio volume however when I turned up the Apple Car Play volume to better hear the phone call it also affected the audio volume once the phone call was ended.

I found what's called "adjust the other party's listening volume" but the icons were greyed out and I'm not sure if this is what I need to adjust, could it be as simple as turning the volume up on my phone? I literally drove 30 mins home from the shop and haven't had much play time with it but this was the one thing that caught my attention.

thoughts?
