Realize that sometimes "specs" are not all the same. What one companies spec is may not be made on the same playing field as another companies. You cannot play a speaker for extended periods of time and expect it to stay cool. Heat is going to be there, if you use your volume in bursts of power and allow the speaker to cool down, you will be far better off in the long run. Set the crossover properly, set the gains properly, do not use a bass boost or turn the bass up on the cd player. Do not take the cd player to maximum output and do not play the system for extended periods of time at full output.
