Talking

Speaker wire voltages are generally high enough to reject most noise....RCAs on the other hand.......

The "rule" about running RCAs with speaker wire is to get them away from the power cable........power and speaker wires together.....not so much of an issue......

I heard the other way around.
Power on one side; RCA and Speaker wires on the other.

I guess thats what you get from "professionals" (When I paid someone at a shop to do it, thats how it was done.)

I didn't dispute that....all I said was there is less chance of interference between the power wire electrical fields and speaker level signals......I do it the "regular" way when I do installs, just for the record......

I worked over the long weekend, I get this comming weekend as my long weekend.

I have gotten all the body filling done. I'm trying to find a couple little parts so that I can do a couple other things before I attempt to carpet. I tried taking a couple pics yesturday, but they didn't turn out at all. I'll try again today, I'll probably have to take it outside to get good shots.

sorry for the wait guys.

Sorry for the long wait guys. busy with work, taking in the sun at the lake while not at work and just doing little bits here and there on the enclosure because of the heat. A few days were 37c until around 8pm and that's about when I go to bed so that I'm up at 3 am for work.

ANYHOW!!!
got all the body filling done. I didn't sand any of the scratches out because it's getting carpeted.
Here are the pics

I also started covering it tonight. I've never covered anything other then square boxes. I think it turned out really well, I have a couple spots that I got glue on, so I have to clean that up yet. You can see the one seam well because of the glue, but I'll get that all cleaned up as well.
I still have to cover the grills.

Getting closer!! I have a cover that I have to build yet for the amp rack. I need some plexi and aluminum for that.
Hope you all like

Oh Yeah, any good suggestions on getting that glue off?

here's another update people.

got the back of the enclosure covered, and the grills.
I still have to work on the amp cover, I had an idea for what I wanted to do, but I looked at it again and it's not going to work the way I wanted.
Don't know if you can tell, but I used 7 different pieces of carpet ro cover this, you can see the seams a little, but once it's in the car I don't think it'll be noticable.
The grills were a long process to cover, and I have never used leather to cover anything. The only thing that I've ever used was carpet until now. I'm very happy with the look of the leather thrown in, it'll match the seats quite well I think.

As you can see I still have some glue that I accidently sprayed on the carpet that I have to remove....suggestions on glue removel?

I am new to this as well, just did my first carpet job, as silly as it sounds what I found worked best for me was paint over it, from what I can tell it is black carpet as well, I used roller and foam brush I was using to touch up my port paint and lightly went over the carpet and basically re dyed it black, once it dried you could not feel a difference and could not see the seams any longer, I stress use very little paint though you do not actually want to saturate the carpet. (they actually make spray paint for dying your seats and upholstery.
