Well, yes and no.
There's probably a "Happy Medium" that the OP could set their system up to, so that they're not going from -7 to +15 every minute ...
I've got it fixed up so that my "0" on my deck is where I like it best, but if I'm really feeling like an a-hole, then I'm at +7 or +11 ...

So the YES in my response here, would be ME today in traffic ...
+11 (driving) ... comes to a stop at a light, full of traffic ... 0
Start driving again, +11 lol

From your initial post I thought you had already installed some equipment and were having this issue....my bad.....

The items you have picked are all decent quality and should do a nice job together......I don't see a box for the sub listed......

A good one will make the upgrade worth the money......

Yeah I plan on building a box for it. I actually went with the 12 shallow mount instead. TS-SW1201S4 I think. So far I'm just gonna build the box they suggest on the instructions and see if that sounds decent. I think they can figure out the airspace and stuff better than I can right now!

I've never seen a manufacturer give a box rec. that would make their product sound bad. That's a good place to start. If you are not happy with the bass response after THEN try playing with other box specs. There is definitely people on this site that can help after you have everything in and can identify what areas that you would like to improve.

Good luck!
