Amp questions!!!

i have two kicker comp 10's SVC wired in series, i am running a crunch powerone amp p1-1000.2 1/2 channel amp. i was talking to one of the car audio employees at the local car audio shop and he recommended this amp....http://www.frys.com/product/6660154?...H:MAIN_RSLT_PG

i was also thinking about just getting rid of my 10s and running a 12" sub instead. Is the crunch amp not enough for the 2 10"s? and would i be better off getting the hifonics amp, jus for even in the future when i decide to get a 12?

If you like the Hifonics brand take a look at the Brutus amps they make.

What's wrong with your 10's? 2- 10's is more cone area than a sonigle 12...
As for the amp, that Hifonics should def. be a step up in the power department. Just make sure your electrical can handle it (sufficient guage from the batt, properly fused, bug 3 upgraded...)

There's nothing wrong with them, Im just not getting the low bass out of them that I want, because they are in a truck box, so I might in the future get a ported 12 to throw on my back seat, but I thought I would upgrade the amp so I can still run the 10"s and make them sound a little better and when It comes time to get a 12" I would not have to buy another amp.

Have you tried inputting the specs of your existing (truck) box into a box calculator to see what the tunning is? Maybe it's tuned way too high? Maybe you could add some bracing? I added bracing to my home Velodyne sub and even that helped.
