Question

I was thinking of getting a TV Tuner for my mobile video set-up. I was looking at this one:

TV TUNER

I was just wondering how well they work? What types do you guys use? etc.

I've read online that it's difficult to get GOOD reception while the car is moving...but is possible while parked?

Also, I don't understand why some Tuners use a Diversity system and some use a Booster system? What's the difference and what's better? I also saw that some companies sell Diversity antenna's with boosters built-in or something....

Anyone?

THANKS!

My Kenwood 910DVD has the tuner built in, it's more or less a novelty for me, for in BC with all the mountains a get really crappy reception when the car is moving. But sitting still it is pretty good. I am in Alberta next week, I am going to try it out there, I think it will work better in the prairies.

Question

Cool...thanks for the info...

I'm kind of confused when it comes to purchasing one. Mostly with regards to the antennas. Why is there amplified and non-amplified diversity antennas? Also, why do some tuners use something called booster antennas instead? Which is better?

I used to use a small B&W portable TV and could get cbc, fox, cp24, maybe some others. Now if I could put a LCD screen in the car and have the sound come out over my speakers and pick up the same stations that would RULE.
