Jig saw??? A router will give you a much better cut. I make all my cuts after the cabinet is all togther in most cases.

If you are planning on using 3 layers of 3/4" MDF I hope you can still lift it. That's a tonn of wood. You might get resluts just as good with a single layer (or maybe 2) with proper bracing.

if glued properly the wood will split before the glued joint

I would just stick to what you ahve and laminate your two pieces for the baffle..and use some left overs for internal bracing...that will give you the strength you need and limit the resonances...assuming your not doing SPL or any other high power applications
