Im pretty sure home depot sells lexan, but i think only up to 1/4", maybe you can order thicker stock. I know most window places do sell it, but from the places ive talked with, it's twice as much as plexiglass, which of course varies with thickness. Also lexan does scratch a lot easier.

Lexan is the trademark of DuPont I think. It’s actually called polycarbonate
Close! Lexan is GE's trademarked name for their polycarbonate formulas. GE is the foremost provider and developer of the product, their web site is incredible for technical assistance and they will help you step by step through a process (tremendous customer service they helped me (a non polymer scientist) through a down-select process as to the formulation best suited to my application!)

Our car isn`t a daily driver if you guys were wondering. And to take fine scratches out of lexan use 3m fine cut rubbing compound. If they are deep your pretty much done for unless you wet sand it. Thats what we do at work any ways, and it worked on our car windows too.

Do you NEED lexan, or do you need something transparent LIKE Lexan but not necessarily shatter resistant (SPL cars probably need Lexan, I don't know if you do for your application).
