cap size and possible ground problems.
welcome to audio.... i just wanted a louder system then what i was running before. so i spring for 2x 12's - $600, i can handle that. my amp dies..... new amp $270. then it died due to a dying alternator and improper wiring. $150 fixed. alternator died $300(without the discount i get it would have been 600).
i got 200 for my old subs so grand total was $1100 for a upgrade lol.

the problem started when you added the amp... logic dictates the problem is at the new amp. There are two power lines + and - verify both are tight and clean at the amp with no frayed wires, then check the grounding point and the power supply point (it HAS to be a high quality connection with solid metal to metal contact), dont forget the fused power wire needs tight connections too.
The problem is not the amp. the problem lies within the higher frequency. but you are correct I believe my ground isn't as good as it should be. which is why i'm doing the big 3. and going to do a proper ground on the amps instead of where it's connected now... the back seat mount.

didnt say it was the amp... I said it was at the amp on how you electrically connected the amp, read and heed grasshopper
