In that car without a major upgrade to the electrical system I would drop the idea of two W7's altogether. You have the tiny little alternator that can't in this case. A single sub, a good sub, in the proper slot port box is probably all you need. A pair of respectable subs with the proper amp would do fine as well. The more you put in the back for bass response, the more weight you add as well and the more the handling of the car is affected. Next hurdle, how is the balance of the stereo going to be able to keep up with all the death by bass from the back?

Get this http://www.canadiancaraudio.com/onli...ers-250-a.html

Right box and you'll be happy.

The JL W7 is so over priced for what you get.

i use to have 2 12inch JL w0s in my talon which is almost the same design as the celica. i went thru 6 alternators a dozen alt.belts it was a nightmare. i dont want that to happen again so i will be investing in a 180-200amp alternator and a yellow top optima battery for the car to run off of and also possible a smaller battery for the system to run off of. i think that should be enough. secondly, its obvious that i must by another amp and high/mid/tweets for the front end thats for sure.

for all those who read this. i am interested in buying / setting up a system, so if u guys got stuff for sale that would be of use to me let me know.

so yea, w6s vs w7s big difference? would u say 2 w6s = 1 w7?

w6 is a completely different sub, pretty sq oriented. nicer overall sub in my mind.
that sundown is a sweet amp.

lol, i say it to everyone, if you want a "sql" sub. check out and IDMAX. can't be beat!
extremely efficient, very musical, affordable, and they pound!

consider that Fi as well, they are really nice.

the W6 are more a ound quality sub - not to say they won't get loud in the right box.

My pick is the Fi BTL because IMHO it's a better built sub.

Keep me posted if you are interested in my 2000D

They are a completely different sub, I would not say that they are the same at all. They are however massively overpriced in Canada. If you want loud and stinking good sound, I have a tried and true option for you. Amp and sub that is going to land around the $1300 mark that will deliver stunning results. Results that can be verified by members here on the site. It will require the upgrades to the electrical system that you are looking to do for sure. You will definitely need to throw some power at the front speakers at the same time or you will be a bass machine and that is all.
