The unfortunate thing is every now and again you get a customer who can break damn near anything and they just cannot get it through their head what the problem is.
I try to diagnose the defective user by the second warranty claim and void all future warranty unless I am allowed to redesign their system to the point it is stupid proof. This has been marginally successful.
I think Rob went in thinking he was buying the be-all and end-all of 8" woofers and that it was virtually indestructible. Well he found out it wasn't. What he did next on here was dumb and what Ben did was dumb too. IMO he should have ran a bead of glue around the former, shlupped it back together, and sent it back with future warranty void. Why the hell didn't he buy a 15 if he is listening to Bass Mechanik? Who actually listens to that crap anyways? Why would anyone who does listen to that want an 8 in the first place?
I think I remember a few people telling him that while it was a very good 8 (probably) that it still wasn't a 10 or 12. He just doesn't get it.

Got it on good word that he's a huge abuser of gear. So the story is consistent.
It's a hard situation to win. But the light at the end of the tunnel I do believe is this. If you go about your business in a fair manner and honestly, then what you do speaks for itself. Those you deal with fairly and honestly will often speak up on your behalf when a Rob shows up. Rob's of the world come and go and it's a hard situation to win. I think cutting him loose is right after giving him one chance.
And there will ALWAYS be someone complaining. As you all know, you can NEVER make everyone happy, no matter how hard you try. I still believe that giving everyone a fair shake and at least one second chance is a good policy (within reason of course). After that, we'll be calling Tim from now on to deliver some whoop-****

Rob should be black listed period, it would teach others to respect the dealers, he wouldn’t be able to get anything better the pyramid. I don't think at the point that ed spoke back that they did any harm, rob had already done to much and to give in was just making things worse (then everyone would do the same)
Couple weeks later his whole car got wrote off, karma? I freaking hope so!
