When you guys removed the RF logo on the faceplate with sandpaper, were there any differences in finishes on the face from the area you sanded, and the rest of the finish (especially in the sunlight)? I bought some 400 and some 600 grit paper, but am still hesitant to give it a try because I dont want to screw up the finish...

I couldn't tell, use the 600, it should be even better.

Yeah i used 600..

Kilo i was hesitant at first to.. so i tried sanding along the top or bottom part that you dont see (ends up inside the dash). Didnt damage it, so i went to town on that nasty RF logo..

I used 500 and it worked fine as well. Although I slipped a bit and made a little scratch on the screen...oh well, you can't notice it.

I have actually taken all the logo's off and polished the face, while it looks like a real cheap CD player now I like it and it is sure to be not appealing to theives [img]smile.gif[/img]

That doesn't seem right...I like the brushed aluminum look.

It looks pretty good, but I hadn't taken the deck apart far enough to get rid of the silver behind the display glass, now that I have taken it completly apart I am going to have it either powder coated or anodized black along with the ****.

I like the look of that one model Denon that is all black.
