How do you like the "killing time" customer's

I did not mean to inadvertently call YOU an *** . This would be a reason for people to be "stand offish" though and not ask for help. Offish, is that even a word .

Adam -- "always take a stab" -- just because someone looks like a "dead customer" does not mean they are -- I did with a guy yesterday who was "just looking" and he walked out with a T5002 (of course )
PS -- someone "just looking" is really saying they haven't met a good enough salesperson yet

If the person walked into the store, they obviously want/need something, so ALWAYS "take a stab" at least greet the client with some form of enthusiasm (not as you rub your hands together saying "may I help you?"), if you don't have the time to serve them tell them you are helping "a PAYING customer" , they'll understand not to waste your time.

ooooo thats a good way to make a cust feel less imortant, just dont do it to a woman!! they would feel discriminated upon.
best way to deal with that situation is to excuse yourself for a minute, however dont forget to come back to that cust.
remember do this only if you are the only salesman working that dept.
