Awesome... finally something worth responding too

Actually, Sean W. Adler is the VP, Sales and marketing big shot from Image Dynamics. His sole purpose (him and his fellow employee) was to engage in threads and promote his product. Sean W. Adler was not here to sell direct but certainly to 'sales & market' his product.

There is nothing wrong with that providing Sean W. Adler followed the rules.
First rule in red upon registration was don't use your commercial shop / brand name if you are here to 'sales & market'. Once Sean W. Adler was contacted regarding this, he pulled the 'oh well you guys must not want awesome me of Image Dynamics on your site'. Which was not the case, I specifically wanted him to pick a new user name like Sean@ID or Seanluvssheep, whichever. Instead, I got grief. Instead he got ban.

Furthermore, which Jordy didnt even touch base on was the fact that he made sure to put his product, full work details blah blah blah in his sig. Why should Sean W. Adler be allowed when no one else is allowed.

Sean W. Adler did not want to follow my rules, thus, Sean W. Adler got shillacked.

As of late? Don't play it off like my awesome forum banning technique is new, its hella old school like an HCCA

Okay so it was a marketting dude who worked directly for ID.. this now makes good snese to me.. I agree with you actions!

well this doesn't make sense to me either Don. I personally think this banning approach only hurts the industry even more then it already is.

If a person if trying to pimp their shop/products without paying for advertisement privileges, they should be banned. Its a forum rule.
Break a forum rule, get banned
Break the law, goto jail.

Dont like it then come to the forum. All forums have similar rules. Be glad that the admins who donate their time (I don't think they get paid here) and money to keep this site running for you[us].

However, I'm not sure if this guy was actually trying to push his products since his posts have been removed. But that is what it sounds like.

Another thing that I is puzzling for shows/competitions.. Shouldn't CCA welcome those announcements with open arms.. shows do nothing but FURTHER the industry.

What about a manufactures corner - I know this site runs on subsrictions and paying Canadian vendors.

He was trying to market ID. We asked him to change his user ID and remove his company contact info from his sig, nothing more.

We didn't say "You aren't allowed to talk about ID!" we simply asked him to change his details.

He wasn't asked just the one time he was asked a few times and he continued to push back.

What else are we, as admins, supposed to do?

If you guys who are complaining about how we reacted have a better idea then please let me know.

Keep in mind that the rules aren't negotiable.
