So I can use that clamshell thingy with a sealed enclosure? I think this is the route I am going to take. I would rather have a good sounding subwoofer(s)more than having the "wow" factor so I don't really care if only one is showing. Actually, I might as well say that this is definetly the route I will take. So, it uses two subwoofers and the power to run two subwoofers but it is only putting out the sound of one subwoofer in a good box? That sounds like a good idea to me.

But, I was thinkin about it while snowboardin tonight and I realized that it might be better if I run only one 15" while I still have the stock alternator. Two 15's will not be good on my stock electrical system. But, when my alt is upgraded I will be switchen to the clamshell thing.

 

Viperoni is correct. Running Isobarik (there's a few ways to do it) makes it possible to run the woofer pair in half the air that one driver uses.

So with the box I suggested, you would get the sound and output of a traditional single 15 in a 4cuft vented box which should pretty much loosen your fillings

 

I'd go bigger, drop it in as big of a box as possible, tune it to 30-35hz, and it should slam nicely

 

Awesome. I think I will go with a 1.6 cu feet box for this because that gives me 3.2 cubic feet in reality and that is what I was shooting for on my last box design. 5 cubic feet for each sub sounds really nice but kind of sloppy. So if I would set it up in this way I will be pullin the same amount of amps from my electrical system as I would be if I was running them both facing out of the box right?
