Internet Purchasing

Does anyone here know of a reliable company on the net (other than the small time places already listed) to purchase quantities of stuff?

One place in particular I am curious about is millionbuy.com-The Best Online Electronics**Same Day Shipping** simply because of the fair prices. If anyone has any opinion on this website, please let me know.

I don't know about the website you've listed but onlinecarstereo.com has always been fast and reliable and well priced. I've ordered 5 times from them over the past 1.5 years. No problems.

I'm guessing that this question, as it has before, will probably lead to a battle, mainly concerning 1- Whether or not the lack of support/warranty from these big online companies is worth the lower prices, and 2- The hidden prices of importing from the States, resulting in the moral of the story: 3- You're better off to buy from the Canadian guys.

Just a prediction.

many good ones, many bad ones...just as there are in local retail shopping. If you don't know what you're doing, and you're not willing to take the risk for the price discount...then stick with what you can see and touch!!!

I've bought from onlinecarstereo twice, and after the pain in the butt proving that i was a real person with a real credit card, then it went ok.
But they shipped the dynamat before they called and told me they didn't have stock on the speakers, i picked out different speakers, but still ended up with 2 shipping & custom/charges.
I've ordered twice from HookedOnTronics.com, and was treated well and was surprized at how fast ground shipping was from florida. They'll take your order and wait for your money order, if you don't have a credit card.

All 4 times i ordered online, and another factory order at Soundgate, i ended up with way better price, after tax, customs shipping, conversion all in, than any canadian retailer could give me.
Of course, after i bought, then they told me the could have got me a better price, so why not when i was standing there in the store with cash in hand?

Yes, i know i'll get bashed about this, but i really wanted to buy in canada, but with spending almost 2,500, i didn't see the need to spend almost 3,400 to by in canada.

And don't get me started about installs, i do my own installs because i've had to fix every so called 'professional' install i've had.

I've always used ebay and www.cardomain.com for my audio needs. Usually during the slow season Car domain has free shipping (including USPS to Canada).
I would love to buy Cdn, but $100 (after exchange) for a Stinger 0/1 kit. WTF!! I couldn't buy a 4GA here for that price.

Also my IDMAX ringed at $230ea (after exchange) with free shipping. I just happaned to be checking SD out at the right time. Sure I was dinged $70 or so for boarder charges, but $530 ish Cdn for two NEW IDMAX12V3 is a steal IMO. I love USPS $5 + 14% boarder fee's. better than ups.

Ebay and now Yahoo JPN for my old school audio gear :P

Cardomain - very customer friendly and they'll price match any other authorized quote and even if the price you want to price match isn't authorized they'll still get they're price low enough to look very attractive.

Ebay - can be great if you know what to watch for.

Used Section - in the various car audio forums can be excellent if you know what to look for.

Try this one. They can ship via USPS which in most cases won't charge duties.
