Problem is you shouldn't have to take apart brand new gear to make it work. you may not be as lucky the next time. Know what I mean.

I ask questions to vendors , and I hope they don't get offended if I don't buy from them right at the moment, But They should be glad that I at least go to them for information or questions, because I Trust them in their knowledge, It should be appreciated, not frowned upon if nothing is purchased.. MR2NR is an awesome guy, I'm looking forward to giving my business in the spring ! Ebay and other U.S online sellers are good, but the warranty and know how isn't always given like the good retailers we have in Canada. I think great customer service is #1 to a buyer.

Theres nothing worse then dealing with a big amount of money and not getting an email response back.. or having the guy your buying from using the altavista babelfish translator to translate his chinese to english in his emails lol

Just to add, i purchased an Orion amp from a shop in Mississauga years ago and when i went to install it, it was DOA. I took it to linear marketing to have it repaired to only find out it was Stolen. So yes, a shop sold me a stolen amp.
Of course, they wouldn't warranty it or give me my money back.

NOW THAT IS SCAREY

There are many downfalls of internet purchasing i agree. You really dont know what you are getting for sure, but if a guy has feedback of 98% or higher you can assume he is pretty ligit. If you find a guy that worked once for you go to him again and again. Look closely at the fine print of items, some items are guranteed not to be DOA. If you go on ebay and buy stuff at the absolute lowest price your likely to not get what you think your getting.

Here's some fun reading:
INDOAUDIO SUCKS - a feedback story of my transaction with them

Dealers will like this.

There are more stories like that with other stores.
