Inverting a subwoofer.

Oh yeah... Forgot that point. Gotta find one that has venting taken care of in a way that doesn't cause too much noise...

DLS SP or UR series have huge flares on their back plates.

Bah. Only if you have one driver inverted and the other normal. I notice no difference either way with my sub inverted.

As far as vented pole noise, I hear none. In a vented box, would you really think it would be different if the sub was mounted normally? I found it amplified the vent noise more that way than inverted.

And I gained a precious .3 cu ft from inverting.

Again, if the box is designed correctly you will not have an issue.

Mines inverted. Mainly cuz i have no room to mount normaly! Looks nice. Sounds fat. Im happy

I agree, though I feel that when people do this for cosmetic reasons it only really looks good when its in a fibreglass install IMO.

I had no issues but then my sub also had a 4" flared pole vent [img]graemlins/headbang.gif[/img]
