I've run into a problem

Today, I tried to install Pioneer AVH-P6400 (Just the screen with FM/AM tuner)

The problem I'm having is, I can get the unit to work if I wire the 12V+ cable (yellow) and the ACC (red) from the unit to Yellow 12V power.

but the unit will not work if I wire the ACC (red) wire to the ACC wire (what it suppose to be wired with)

I have by-passed the e-brake by simply connect it with the ground wire.

Any idea as in why the unit does not even power on when I connect the ACC wire to the ACC wire?

Hey Xtahse,

You may want to check the vehicle's ACC line for proper 12+. You're either on the correct wire and the vehicle's radio ignition fuse is blown, or on the incorrect line, or a faulty connection (combination of a few as well).

If your system works when the Pioneer's red is connected to constant, this would say that there may be a problem with the vehicle side of things for that ignition line.

Hope this helps!

Cheers,
Rino

Thanks for everyone's input

The problem has been solved. It was the radio acc fuse.

Thanks again
