Low voltage issue...again
#11
i think its the voltage at my amps that is dropping because when the amp cuts off the voltmeter on my indash is still saying 12.3-4 so i will probably just wait till i run my 0gauge and leave all the extra wire in my car and if it continues then i will have my entire electrical system inspected and get a battery test thanks guys!

^ so if it is the wire to the amp it can only be caused by a couple things- the wire is damaged, stray or frayed + lines are touching - (or vice versa), a lousy crimp if you have ring terminals, too small wiring (8 gauge would be pretty small for your power), lousy connection to ground, or something along these lines

I wouldn't worry about another battery either, because if you don't upgrade the alternator it may actually cause more problems. The alternator is the source of all the electricity in the car, not the battery it's just a storage device. The 90 amp alternator may not be up to the job now theres more than just your system running. There's your ignition, any lights, fans, computers etc.. that will also require current. If you add another battery it's just another load the alternator has to charge/run. Check the wiring as stated above but really, really consider upgrading the alternator.

alrite then im just guna strp all the wiring out for now and rerun everything, it is possibblt that there may be a loose connection from my distroblock or that my ground is in a terribble place but it will take me a few weeks before i can do it all as i am waiting for some wiring and new distros to come in from knukonceptz! i have already looked into a h/o alternator and i was told 240 US for a 150 amp or i can rewind my factory one for a 110 amp load and probably get a smaller pulley to crank a few more amps while idling
