Call it what you want Jrace, you won't be able to locate the speaker...

And no not even 200hz will be direction or 'localizable' from a 12" or even a 15" speaker... although you are starting to get close..

I have noticed the sub in my home theater is sonicly invisible (I cant find it with my eyes closed) even with the crossover at 120Hz or so.

My cars sub crossed over at 60 Hz can be easily identified as coming from the rear when I let it ****...

I think harmonics and rattles is part of this

Jrace sound becomes directional when the size of a 1/4 wavelength approaches the size of the radiator...

As distance from that source grows directionality again becomes an issue.. but 100hz Xd 12db/octave in a car from a 12" sub shouldn't be an issue IMO...
