I am in the midst of purchasing a 92 civic dx and first thing I am doing is putting a stereo in. I am thingking W7 subs but dont know if I want 2 12" or if 1 12" would be more than enough. Also I am not sure on what amp would be best for these and price isnt to much of an issue. I would appreciate anyones input

Visit as many shops in your area as possible and listen to demo boards/cars to see what exactly you're looking for in your system. We can then help you decide form there as there is a big performance/price difference between running one or two W7's.

Daily driver. I listen mostly to hip hop and techno when driving, and the odd punk. Im looking to have a nice pound but also still be able to hear the lyrics, but at the smae time wouldnt mind loosing sound quality for pure bass to lure them ladies that could care less about quality over to my car

well, if you want to still be able to hear your lyrics, then you are definately going to need to upgrade your speakers before getting a sub. especially if your thinking of somethign along the lines of a W7 or other super sub.

Two Image Dynamics IDQ10's in a ported box with an amp capable of 600-750rms for them would be a good choice.

Decent price, sounds great, and the box won't be huge. You might be able to find a pair of Alpine Type R 12's for a bit cheaper but they don't sound quite as good IMO.

Look at the MTX subs also as they are good performers for the dollar.
