Noob questions

First off hello all and yes I am a noob to this (I also realise I have poor grammar)
so im looking ot get an audio system for my car nothing fancy but i want it done right, so i came here through link that fat whacker gave through nsmb.com
anyways wirings all done I just need 2 6 inch (diameter) round speakers for the back and 2 4 inchers for the front what do you recomend?
also I need a cd player (deck? is that whats its called?)
hopefully you guys can send me along the right track

Hey Eric! Welcome to CCA! This is the other forum that eats up much of my time when I am not riding 
Anyway your best bet for speakers is to find a decent set of components (or co-axials) for both front and back. A simple 2 way will do fine. As far as brands or how much to spend? Thats all up to you.
Speakers are very much a personal preference thing. Somthing I think sounds good, may sound like poo to you. Go out an audition some speakers at some shops close near you and find one that fits your ear and wallet.
Again the CD player comes down to what you want/need. Do you want MP3? Alot of base decks are now coming with more options than ever before. So chances are you can find what your looking for without spending all your money.
Brands? Well again that can be about as subjective as mountain biking. Talk with 10 different people and they will give you 10 different brands they like. Me personally I run an Eclipse deck. Never let me down and has been running strong for 6 years or so.

if it's a 6 inch hole then its probably 6.5" speaker. cause the hole will be a little smaller than the speaker. for example, if you cut a 10" hole for a 10" speaker and then try to mount it, well it just falls thru the hole. ya gotta have a lil meat there to mount the suckers to 
as far as brands whacker is right, its all a personal preferance of what sounds good to you. to me a set of 500 dollar components can sound good to you they could sound like crap and you could dig an 80 dollar set of coaxials better. and for decks, well big names are safe such as pioneer, alpine, panasonic and so on. i find that panasonic gives you the most bang for your buck and they are pretty reliable. but i run alpine myself. good luck man.
