The Rendezvous is ok to work on. Very plasticy like all GM's of the era. I was thinking of getting one to do SPL in because it looks like an oversized CRX. You could load it up the same way with a pair of 12's or even 15's with giant aeroports to blow away the competition.
As for the Onstar, it's not an issue because it's expiry date was long ago...unles you would want that. If so, then the module is about $120.00 to incorporate it into the stereo.

Yes, I barely got that for trade in. It puts you in a tough spot because you sure as heck dont want to drop that kind of money on an old 02 Caravan. I THINK I saw a rebuilt for $1800.00 near Windsor somewhere with a tailight warranty, but that job is too big for me (tools & knowhow).

Dany: Its H.E.R. Caravan, not mine I just have a little 05 Escrape which I'm very pleased with so far.

If the van with 218k was going to drop a tranny, it probably would have done it by now, so you may be in luck.

My father in law past away, now i have the opportunity to get is rendezvous, i was wondering if i should get it or keep the van and buy something else later.

So far...

Pro
Lower milage
Under warranty
Big trunk
No rust

Con
Battery almost inaccessible
Unknown alt. output
Need some bypass for the radio to work
Don't like the look, but still better than the van
