I just got a new 3500.1rms 1ohmClass D amp and i dont know how to hook it up.
the manual says to hook it up straight to the Battery. but i should be doing it threw my Cap. which leads to a another problem my cap is only 2F not big enough right??
I dont know how big of a fuse i should be running for this amp and the other 2. the other amps are 680.4 and 700.2 both have dual 30a fuses on each amp. how big of a fuse should i be running at the battery? right now i have 100a or 200 i cant remember. but i think its 100. anyways
now how big of a cap do i need? the cap is going to be doing threw the big amp or should i do all of them threw the cap?
Now wiring I have 2g for my power if that big enough?
Last Night someone was blabbing that i should get a breaker for my fuse??
Let me know what you need from me to help me solve this problem for me. thank you.

thats a big amp. with that kind of power you should run 0/1 ga with a anl fuse of around 250+. i think 2f cap would handle that amp but i wouldn`t run your entire system of the one cap.
for me personally, stay away from those breakers unless its top quality.
but as dukk says you might need more professional input......

Weigh the cost or proper professional installation vs. the cost of damaging the amp and or vehicle. Dukk is correct, this is a really big pull of current. 0 gauge power and ground lines, monster fuses etc. to do things correctly. Sometimes one must pay to play.
yea jez thats alot lol... i would go down to your local shop n see how much they will charge to do it, because well you should be rewiring your whole set up to power that huge amp, and as for the breaker ive heard bad news about them, probably just best to get a fuse.
An excellent amplifier needs excellent installation to perform properly. Any error made installing that amplifier will be an expensive one... why risk your investment? Professional installation is well worth the charge.
