My rule for lending out tools to other installers and salespeople is easy, you can borrow it the first time, leave me your wallet. If you need to borrow it the second time, get out your wallet and buy your own damn tool.

 

Hell yeah man..... I had people grabbing my Hutchenson line sander and toss it around like it was theirs, and hten get mad when id come take MY tool back to use it when I needed it!

 

Haha, that happens all the time "but, I need that to finish the job" and I say, then go buy one aswipe.

 

Some peoples kids man...... at the body shop I was at, there was 4 preppers using my tools. I didnt go in for 2 weeks because I tore my knee up in December and my boss got pissed at me for locking my tool box up because " I knew everyone used my tools and they never had any tools to do their jobs"

When I quit there about 6 weeks ago I laughed when I left because no one had their own tools, I had 90% of the things the preppers used, and the shop radio was mine from home too [img]tongue.gif[/img]

 

Awesome, I took the shop radio too! I was asked, "um, why are you taking the shop radio?" To which I replied "Because you cheap bastards made me buy it!" As I pulled out my receipt for it.
