Setting an EQ
#1
I was going to post something a few weeks ago cause there was a topic about EQs for sound quality up... I must have forgot...
Anyway... I believe the proper(novice)way to set up an EQ is to listen to a few tracks on a good set of headphones with no EQ or boost... then set up your EQ so you get the same sound/frequency response...
Anyone else do it another way ???

uhh,, yea yea... I usually just set the EQ in my car to whatever I like at the time... Iam more SPL then SQ anyway... otherwise I wouldn't need 2 ported 15's...
My home setup is a little different game...
Iam talking about getting flat response for a good SQ setup without any special equipment or a even a trained ear...
Headphones (no reverb) with no EQ is going to have flat response... if you adjust the EQ on another setup so it sounds the same as the headphones it should also have relativly flat freq resonse...
I believe that is the proper way for most people to set one up.....
