Because youre 2 subs together are 2 ohms, youre amp is only stable bridged @ 4 ohms, my advice to you is to go to bcae1.com and read up.
Not trying to put ya down, its just that this is pretty basic knowledge and some reading up will do you some good i think.

If your amp was 2 ohm stable when bridged, then yes you could wire the woofers together and bridge the amp. However, your amp is only stable down to 4 ohm when bridged.
With the configuration of your subwoofers as it is, there's no way to hook both of them to the amp to get the 500W out of it. The best you can do with those subs is 404W.

What you have now is alright equipment, be it poorly matched together. That said you have a couple of options. Buy a new amp to use properly with the subs and use the existing amp to run the front speakers or replace the subs with dvc 4 ohm subs and use the amp. Don't get hung up on the watts, it is not going to tell you how loud it will go or how it will sound. Concentrate on the box first, then the subs, then the amp to match to the subs. If you like the subs you have, the best bet is to change the amp.

For shallow mounts, the Pioneer Premiere are a incredible shallow mount and I would take them over the Rockfords any day of the week. I have them on sale currently at a damn good price. A price that screams buy me and let them sit at home until you are ready to use them. Pioneer was clearing them out and I bought all that they had left in stock.
