so gonna get myself a new deck just wondering what peoples thoughts are do I get a deck with great sq or do I get one with ipod and usb capabilities and any sugestions need min. of two sets of preouts don't need internal amplifier

I wonder why you feel the two have to be mutally exclusive? If you want it all, try the new top end Pioneer.

 

I still have the eclipse CD5030 available on clearout. Onboard USB,A2DP Bluetooth, ipod cable included, tuning mic included while they last (1 left), 5 volt 55 ohm preouts, built in time alignment. This is a great cd player. Ordering some Kenwood Excelon today, can always throw a KDCX994 on the order for you as well. The eclipse will be far cheaper though.

 

It's geared to be an sq deck, but it's not working out that way. You'd need to buy the Imprint to complete that part. Even then, it's not adjustable.
The Eclipse deck is nice. The Kenwood is ok. The Pioneer is insanely great, but many people can't afford it.
