Food for thought; Image Dynamics built the new eD subs. I have a 16Ov2, and it's just about perfect in terms of output, accuracy, box requirements, cosmetics, and price. Haven't heard an IDQ, but I'd heard many good things about them.

How do you know this?

Does this include the Kv series or just the Ov?

I would suggest two IDQ12v2 D2 ported.
They'll work pretty well in 2.0net a piece ported and will handle the power you are runing very well. Should get very loud and have great SQ still.

I just received an eD 9Kv.2 - The much smaller brother, but it is killer for a little 8" It is very clean, and hits surprisingly low for an 8". On the other hand, I haven't heard any ID sub, but I like my little eD.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, they are very helpful. I will try to audition the said drivers within the next few weeks wherever I can and make a decision soon. I am set on the dual 15s though, as i've wanted to put two 15s in my car for 17 years but did not have the space available at any time to do it. I believe it all stemmed from a listening experience in 1988 that left me wanting that moving, ultra deep bass. I know it's all about moving air and that is why the two 15s with their 2700 cubic cm of displacement fit the bill. The dual 12s will only yield about 1400 cc. I would need about 4 12s to generate the same displacement, which would cost more and require more available space. Again thank you very much for your input.
