It looks like that relay is under the carpet, in the trunk. Things in the trunk have a tendency to roll around.....be a shame if a bottle of laundry soap or the like happenned to hit the relay...You know your not supposed to hit 2nd gear over 8,000 RPM ...best case would be a blown fuse (if everything is properly fused)....worst case: blow the remote out in the deck!

actually the relay is on the front passenger side there.. doncha see my hand touching the seat ? I put the relay there so it would be out of the way of feet and other things. It's easy enough to unscrew and screw it into 1 hole further back along the base there.. but I think I will take your advice and tape er all up just to make sure it's sealed off from touchin bare metal..
