Question Welder cable- cheaper, but just as good?

Just wondering the difference from welder caple to audio power wire. I can get 45 feet of 2/0 welder cable for $100 from work.

its welding cable, and I ran a single run of cheaper 4 gauge, up graded to a single run of 1/0 welding cable, and ground, now I have no dimming and my voltage is way more stable + I'm even using a bigger amp. Its good stuff!

u would have seen an reduction in dimming either way, because u went from 4 to 0, and a better ground, so ur statement there doesn't really matter in this case

Up until a couple of years ago the argument could be made either way. Now with most car audio cable being copper clad aluminum or just straight aluminum and most welding cable still being pure copper, I believe the welding cable superior.
