sorry, I forgot to mention I use the front two channels for the front speakers, does that matter?

what's better for the money? I'm using an css sdx 10 right now in a cheap ported prefab and it sucks.

gtf away from prefab boxes lol. night and day difference just building yourself a proper box . i would just take a shot at making a proper box and see just how horrible it actually is before i rushed out n spent a bunch of money. Always get the most out of what u got. then if that aint enuff u move on

so will that sub work using the two rear channels bridged?

what if I switch boxes to one of the ported ones in the link below?

The JBL is a dual 4ohm load, in order to power it properly you would need to use all 4 channels of your amp.

If you go for the second option, I would suggest finding a single 4ohm 15" driver that uses close to the same specs as the enclosure listed and run it off the back two channels of your amp.

If you decide you want dual subs just remember that they will only be getting roughly 150W each off your present amp. You will probably be better off with 2 10"s wired to a 4ohm mono load. A pair of decent ones with a custom made ported enclosure will be worth the roughly $400 to get it done and you will have better quality bass than the JBL BandPass.

let me comment as I owned that box for a short period.
It sucks, I normally would have expected a jbl prefab to sound good, even a bandpass like that, but that thing is a one note wonder, It gets pretty loud, (I had it on a 700rms amp) but it sounds terrible.
