Aye, the burdons of the installer...
I remember when I punctured my first radiator... As I was watching the fluid drain from the hole in the fins, I could feel the blood draining from my face. That was a nice $500 mistake.
And then there was that time I backed out of the bay in a 91 Civic with the rear passenger door still open... Note to self: Open doors will not stop the car from moving, even if you're moving slowly. The only good part about that whole deal was that it was a co-worker's car, and I had some connections with some bodywork guys at the time, and it cost less to fix that than the radiator. Stuff is phun...

Sounds pretty scary. I've been pretty lucky in my 14 years of installing (knock on MDF). The worst thing that happened to me was drilling a 13/64 hole through my middle fingernail when working on a customer's RX-7. I was only half way through the install and he was leaving for calgary the next day for 8 months. I finished the job off with my finger wrapped in papertowels taped up with 3M electrical.

that must be some kinda record or something.good for you man! i too have been installing for 14 yrs. only had two bad days. once some wheel nuts came loose, wheel didn`t come off but thrashed the wheel,studs,brakedrum and axle. later found out the cust had the wrong nuts for his fancy alum. wheels.second, lost a transponder key and keyless remote for a honda. noooo good
