why do you "need" to go to 16 volts?

just get a few of the better 12 volt batterys.

If this is going in a daily driver I would suggest to get 2-4 Hawker 1700's or even 2150's

I would not reccomend the Cactus CS9000 for daily driving.

There is no need to go to 16 volt unless you are building a vehicle strictly for competition.

For me just going to 16 volt was 2 dB, and that is huge for daily driving. its as simple as dialing up your alternator and using a few 993's

Im going to say that if you added a couple of 12 volts you would have gotten the same gain as with going to 16 volt.

oh and if your amp blows up the shop/maunufacturer is not going to be really happy that you were running 16+ volts to the amp. And tell you that they cant warrenty your amp.

just my thoughts though

I had used three 3100's to five D1000's so it was a pretty fair comparison.

more stable for the numbers.and least but not last.just because i can.
