Good tests guys. Why din't you call me Andy I wanted to be there. I sure as **** would have come down. I would have grabbed a D3 on the way and some extra subs.

Just like my test the D2/D3 was 1.6 db louder then a bmf1000D.

Sounds like the tests were very accurate.

I'll be testing some HK4000D's soon hopefully.

did you guys import that E-Audio amp from New Zealand or how did you get one in Canada? looks to be the same as a AB200.1 or SPL dynamics 3000D to me (although there may be differances but the cases look the same)

The eaudio amps came straight from the factory in Korea that makes them. It was easier to get the eaudio version than to make a whole new brand to import into Canada.
They are basically the same amp as the EXT3000 and the 200.1, except the strapping problem that occured with the EXT3000 is fixed (not sure if it happened with the 200.1 or not) and the transformers should be slightly bigger to increase power output.

 

what was the strapping problem on the ext 3000's? I would like to know.

 

Can't remember for sure, but it had something to do with the slave setting on the amp. The master worked fine, but the slave did not work properly. I can find out all the details if you like.

 

can we get more of these amps? if so how much do they run?

 

Yes I would like to know more about the problem of the ext 3000, I would also like to see internal pics of the E-audio 3000d.
