This isnt the case tho. Last year at a number of shows people showed up to see what their system hits and then at the end of the day then end up being louder due to other people helping them and giving them advice.
Though this thread has gone way past this post (because I had to work) I'll respond to this ...

People like me? - Yes and No.

Yes - in the sense that I don't participate in every-single-event ... yet.
Sorry I don't have a large bank roll to participate in them all, nor can I take that many days off from work (I work weekends).

No - in the sense that at least I AM at the events, supporting the events (raffle, food, products, etc) and I HAVE participated in a number of them.
I even put in my money in the pot for the Bass Race for cash when I had no intentions of winning. I had the intention of participating, that's it.

So bud, you don't know as much about me as you think.

And seeing pics of members rides, would love to hear what they sound like!

At a show you will meet a lot of knowledgeable people. All you have to do it ask someone and they will help you or give you advice on how to get louder. The sport needs new people like you who just want to come out and have fun and learn something.

Contradict yourself much?

One minute you want everyone to compete, then you want people to just show up and ask questions.

Oooookay.

Right. And I think you're not getting the bigger picture.
You need to show people the sport first ... get some interest ...
THEN they'll spend $20 to enter their FutureShop system.
Then they'll upgrade ... then they'll compete 2-3 times in a year ...

Some will stay, others will turn into solid competitors.

We do this a few times, you have a huge turnout. THAT'S what needs to happen. People - PERIOD.

Yes, a possibility, but I'm not afraid of what the number will be, and even tuning prior to attempting to compete were not completed, I have no fear in entering competition (most likely SQL) just for the heck of it.

Nobody should be afraid of their numbers. Compete against yourself, not against the entire league.

That's like Jose Calderon comparing himself to Kobe Bryant.
Different classes, different player, different levels of play.

The same thing takes place here. More people need to take pride in their own **** as well.
