Preliminary Draft - Major Rules Changes 2004

I am so-so on the suggestion of power ratings..
The standard that was reffered to is the CEA-2006. This is a standard format (set of rules) for testing power. It is extremely similar to the method I use. Continuous power at a specific frequency, with a specific amount of distortion with a specific supply voltage. It only makes sense to eliminate all the variables.
Eliminating two-seaters doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me, but I just haven't figured out the logic yet. Once I do, it should make sense.

Hi Dave! the biggest problem with the crx is that most competitors at works had their amps laying on the floor just behind the seat. i feel it would be fair if they had a predetermined area in which all equipment must be installed.last years rules were full of grey areas,perhaps things will be more precise in intended meaning.L8r
hmmmm so the whole space for 4 passengers in street.... i take it to mean no folding the rear seats down to slide my box back..... = 3-4db loss for me...
it sucks, but at the same time if it keeps a 150+db crx outta my class.....ill have to adjust.... thats if the new concept im workin on is even condusive to any kinda decent SPL numbers....

and yes u can fold the seats. but the 'normal use' restriction must be applicable....apperantly u didnt follow that to begin with.
see now really what would the difference have been between me doing that, vs someone with a crx whos box is up against their front seats?
but like i said, i did that at a number of shows since i got the kia, and no one ever said i couldnt, if they had i wouldnt have, oh well done is done.
guess the new rules will be more clear and will prevent mixups like that, i understood the rules incorrectly i guess

If that were the case, then I'd gladly take a minivan in Street and remove all the seats and point my subs directly forwards, no wall stylez, YO!
Street wasn't always ruled by CRX's.

I think the reason for limiting physical size of the battery was because people were using huge train/tractor batteries and whatnot last year???

</font>
I'm in it for the enjoyment and fun. But the fact is having no chance to win isn't fun cause everythings more enjoyable when you win, or are atleast able to compete.
