it 100% does not matter. if you running the retail box they both will perform nearly identical.

one chamber, one port or two chambers with 2 ports doesnt make any diff. even if one sub dies and the other sub will see more volume/port.....there is fukc all for port anyways in those prefab boxes and a typeR almost displaces no air so a 0.15 increase in volume wont do anything to the other sub. The only thing that might change is the tuning, but are you planning to dirve around with one good and one blow sub?

I plan to put subs in it, put it in my trunk, and play bass from it...
I don't know what else I can do with it?
exactly! so just get whichever box is cheaper.

Ditto for making your own box...

Funny thing though the other day I stopped off at the stereo shop. I was asking to see some of the higher end stuff to get a baseline for SQ vs the old school stuff I got... Thinking maybe to get new stuff some day... or not hahaha

They hooked up a couple of Audison LRX amps that were powering a set of Hertz ML series subs and then actually suggested that a prefabbed, ported Bassworx box off the showroom FLOOR would be the best option!!

I turned around, laughed and left without saying a word.

Running a common chamber is the way to go in most instances...

Because of manufacturing variences identical subs are rarely identical... running them in a common air space mechanically couples them together and forces them to behave the same way....
