well after using this thing for daily driving for over aweek straight and at 0.5 ohm I'm very impressed. My class AB amps get hotter than this thing does. And with each day it gets louder I really don't why but it does... usually it gets less. But Need to get my 16 volt batts installed and retest. I think this amp is gonna hard to beat once the bugs are worked out of it. Who else makes an amp that can make power and more power with higher source voltage with out internal changes?? It seems to love the 0.5 ohm may have to go lower. But will defenatly need to do something with power input... And doesn't smell anymore maybe the crx took the smell out of it hehe..

ok for the most part this thread seems totally useless.... I can do 147 with 1 12" alpine type R and 1 mojo wired at 1Ohm off a group 35 RED top (sits at 12.3v)in a caliber, needless to say the amp wasnt making alot of power... Every class AB amp i have ever owned has gotten hotter then every class D amp i have owned, and the mojo can run around all day at 0.5 ohm, and can run on a 16v system (from what i have been told) with out mod.

sooo I guess what im wondering is... is this thing any good in a 12v set up? yes? no? does anyone know yet? will it be any good for regular street guys? i have a seen a ton of testing on 16v SS setups, and one very disappointing test in a street set up... Is any one really going to beat on this thing with a 12v set up to see what it can do?

Jo, we built 2 boxes the week before the test, no tune, nothing, just droped in, who cares about the #, all we wanted to see is a direct swap, thats it.
Mabye we should build a serrious street car then, just to prove to an e-net debate, lol.

hahah no no no i know it was thrown together, im not trying to harp on your guys, I guess i was just hoping for a bit more info on the 12v side of it, i understand that since this amp pretty much came here as direct competition for the stesom that its going to see a ton of 16v test time. and now again it seems to be in the hands of another and hes talking about getting it going on 16v asap... i just wanna know if anyone is gonna flogg it in a street car?

I realize the diff. I'm just stating for a daily driver on two opima red tops wires at 0.5 it goes like hell and doesn't get hot. The 7Kd I had for the road down here wasn't even beat on and it was hot. this thing gets it form 635 am to 715 am every morn and then again from 400 pm to almost 5. and there is not alot of room in what used to be a hatch for ventilation. So for a daily driver with some power I recomend this amp.

Keep me posted on that test nick. Can you do a drop in compared to a ddz1a by any chance?
