.I will not worry about it, if it doesn't help, and also it saves me alot of money too.
But I would still like to here other peoples experiences, like Norm's.
I tried it in a van and it helped a little because the pannels were very flimsy , in an suv its pretty solid and as of deadning the roof it maywork but i only tried it on the floors and side panels. One vehical it gained 1.2 and one it lost 0.8 my BMW is not deadned and has leather and carpet all over it so i left it as is.

So I want to dynamat my 2 door blazer for next year. Now I need to know where people with SUV's have had success putting sound deadener?
I have read a few conflicting views on doing the rear of the vehicle, and front doors. Personally this year I have seen loss in SPL (about 2 dB)just by useing duct tape to seal up the front door panels, in a cavalier. Then once we removed it, instant increase, well back to normal. From this I think that most street vehicles like to breathe just a little. Does anyone think it would be worth doing the doors still but leaving all the holes open? Sometimes I think it may just be better not to sound deaden, but I'm sure putting it in the right spots, it is worth it.
I'm only looking for other peoples expeiences with doing this, and I know the only way to know for sure is to test.

you found a loss by sealing the doors but thats only with that sub box... try different tuning since you changed the environment that the enclosure plays into
