Grahm: the reason SPLers dont' use servo drive subs is that they're outlawed by dBdrags and other organizations.

After all, we can't have people spending their money on something that doesn't take a ton of power to drive, that would make SPL systems affordable, and car audio companies would die.

^^^I think thats sad. I shouldn't be surprised, since the oil companies pay off the north american car manufactueres to build these huge gas guzzling SUV's and these fuel-ineffecient trucks with V-10s. Asides from Spl comps, how come more people dont use Servo subs for their own personal use?

^ heh I had a thread on carsound about those things...

I really wish they were more available... Ive been meaning to pick up a nice servo motor so I can build my own... those motors can get pretty pricey though...

So far you've knocked a product for:

The model name, the cosmetics, and using good design. I would say that's pretty ignorant. Gimmicks are usually products that don't actually work. The RFL works, the 9500 works, and it looks like this jackhammer thing works. Example of a gimmick would be audiobahn's 34" sub, since you brought them up.

You don't have to think MTX or any company is great, but to mindlessly bash good product is just stupid. It's like bashing car makers for using alpha-numberic model names like BMW and Mercedes have been doing for decades.

It'd be different if Ford came out with a SLK 420 Cobra.

I think the jackhammer looks like a waste of time, just like the Adire and RE monster motor designs, and the RFL, and the 34" audiobahn, etc.

But I am an ignorant .

WESTSIDE!
