ya spec sheets show up to 60 degrees, and they are awesome. but i was curious about more than 60.
and i'd be going for a L4SE if i could, but i simply can't fit them in the doors.
im not sure what IIHB means, but why won't anyone be buying the L3SE? because the pros are coming out?

firing into the glass is a great option for depth and sound stage.
Don't rely on photos and looks. spend 1day or longer to get the right placement

ya i know they don't need a tweeter on axis, but they will most likely be off axis and i already have decent ones.
would you say there is a big difference between the l3 and l3se? or is the se simply more flexible since it can take more power and has wider bandwidth?

Mount your mids in the sail panels and keep them on axis. Skip the tweeter, you won't need them. If you find your missing something add them after the mids are done.
High frequency response with be seriously effected by how far off axis you install them. Response curves are fine as a guide, but they can't tell you how a speaker sounds. The L3 will do what your looking for.

I found the L4SE to be instantly smoother and better overall.

i like that idea, but that raises the question about enclosure size.
would you just vent them into the door?

Another option is to go with the Audison VOCE - Dukk pointed out keeping the same brand. Hertz and Audison - probably the same audio engineer designers. Food for Thought

i completely forgot about the audison speaker lineup.
any idea what the voce 3.0 retails for? i feel like its ALOT
