I used to be a part of it until I realized that you don't need the best equipment to make a car sound good. I know I shouldn't be saying this as I'm in sales of high end product, but you don't need the BEST equipment to make a car sound really, really good. Don't get me wrong, you still need great equipment, so just get equipment thats higer end and sounds good to you ... then work with it and make it work for you.
I see a lot of people where I was a a while back (yes, I'm old) and I urge you people to get out of the equipment race and work on making the equipment work for you and save your money

No offense intended; however, it is like how one can be having a conversation with someone about Camaros and the topic changes to Corvettes and then 20 minutes later another person says... "I used to have a Camaro" -- the comment is in context, but 20 minutes too late... thus it is disconcerting to the conversation at hand...

after re-reading the original post again(thanks mike), its truly a really poorly worded statement, and begs many questions that have been beat to death on this thread already, so i wont revisit(peoples feelings and all) but mike brings up interesting points, its funny how threads can get so off topic and back again, and then back off again, always fun tom re-read old threads from the start and why is **** asterixexd, lots of good words have **** in it, ****roach, or if your tony mantana. ****aroach, ****adoodledo, pet**** and so on and so on
