I used 3" thick sintered depleted uranium that was laser milled by a buddy working the swing shift at NASA.

It works ok.

You must be refering to the late 80s/early 90s manufacturer Vieta...which has just recently resurfaced with French funding. Correct?

I have a 2008 F150 ( same as yours ) I also had a 2005. These are all the same. I have Hertz MLK 165 6.5" mounted in the stock door locations, on 3/4 MDF. You will have to cut away a little bit of the backside of your door panel to get them to fit.

If you go on DIYMA to the Build Logs section of the forum, page 3, there are pictures of an install. It's titled " 2006 F 150 S'crew install by TBDAugs. He also shows how he sealed the door opening.

The MDF baffle he made bolts to the holes for the OEM speakers.

It would be a shame to have those Focals and not be able to use them, when the install is so easy.
